Cá del Baio
The Grasso family has been in the wine growing business since 1880: a real tradition handed down over time from father to son.
Most of the vineyards are located on their farm in Valgrande, in the village of Treiso, while the remainder are in one of the finest and best-known wine-growing sites in Barbaresco, called “Asili”.
The estate covers a total of 22 Ha, nineteen of which (45 Acres) are
planted with vine.
As well as the Nebbiolo variety – from which Barbaresco, a wine
of extreme elegance and finesse in made – Dolcetto, Barbera, Chardonnay
ana Moscato are grown to produce exclusively Doc and Docg, status wines.
Although the production is mostly given over to red wines (Barbaresco, Langhe Nebbiolo, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba), there are also two white wines: Chardonnay Sermine, which is fermented and matured in wood, and Moscato d’Asti.
